From a suite at the Crosby Street Hotel, Vivian slipped on her LeBoutins and away we went in a taxi to the wedding location, under a mature tree by the boathouse. Vivian and Kevin met in London, courted in Hong Kong, and tied the knot in a traditional Chinese tea ceremony in Central Park. During the ceremony, their parents handed them red packets (a symbol of good fortune) as the newlyweds bowed, and were served and drank tea the young couple made for them. Vivian's father, wise and traditional, couldn't handle it and even shed a tear. She hugged him fervently, it was beautiful.
This international couple did it right; they followed up their ancient-yet-modern ceremony with a luncheon at the venerable Boat House, with delicious food and a gorgeous view.
We think, nothing could be luckier than these two finding each other, red packets included.
