Having found me on the Knot, through an article which featured a City Hall wedding I shot at 1 Centre Street, the previous marriage bureau location, we met at the renovated Manhattan City Hall Marriage Bureau at 80 Centre Street, a newly redone space that keeps all of the character of the classic marble halls that City Hall is known for. The spot boasts a flower shoppe, classic New York umbrellas in case of rain, and 2 spacious chapels painted soft, romantic colors. Victoria and Richard were so happy, that their joy was palpable. I was honored to be there to chronicle this love story.

Love and Harmony at 80 Center Street, City Hall
When UK natives Victoria, a violinist, and Richard, a trombonist, met whilst gigging in a London classical music group 7 years ago, music played in their hearts as well. They picked New York as their nuptial spot because they had been here before and loved it. It also speaks to the sensibility of these globe trotting musicians to elope in a spot that plucked their most romantic heart strings.
